I have a Fx6300 im trying to overclock to 4.2Ghz. When in idle, it 40c. When its under load in Prime95, it runs to about 64c. I set my voltage for 1.332. Another thing im wondering is, is my vcore suppose to fluctuate? Its ideal right now and bounces between 1.332v and 1.344v. When under load, it goes to 1.35v. I know i have all of my settings disabled that needs to be. ( Using Hyper Evo 212)

60C is the maximum safe temperature for these chips. I recommend removing the cooler, cleaning with 90% isoprpyl alcohol and reinstalling with fresh thermal paste. Just use a small pea sized dot in the center and make sure you mount it decently tight.

I had a 6300 at 4.4ghz and 1.425 vcore and never hit over 56C with a 90F ambient.
