So i have an excellent connection... all other devices in house ((6 of them)internet connection is 60Mbps so connections are not being bogged down) are working perfect. My new PC will not load any webpages or download windows update. However when i tether my phone as a wireless hot spot i was able to connect flawlessly?

I have reset the modem

I have checked the IPv4 connection and is set to automatic. also tried adding my own DNS and IP from a tutorial on youtube. still nothing

I have flushed DNS

I have tried winsock and ipreset with cmd as admin multiple times.

I have done ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew

immediately ipconfig/release disconnects media and i have to repair before i can renew
Sometimes when i do the windows repair it tells me my router does not have a valid IP and other times it tells me it fixed that issue.

Also i have tried uninstalling the Ethernet drivers reinstalling the wireless drivers and still nothing.

Not sure if this will help but here are my specs:

amd fx8 8320
gigabyte 970a d3p
zotac geforce gtx 970
tplink wn725n (usb wireless internet hub)
running windows 7 ultimate x64

More about : excellent internet connection load web windows update

I have not changed the MAC address and I am not sure how i would go about this to try it... I did try to google it but the path does not come up on my end
Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > right click on adapter name, then Properties > Configure > Advanced tab >
network address is not an option? wrong place?

I was facing a similar issue a while back. Turned out to be the antivirus/firewall part blocking most of the connection. You can try disabling the antivirus or just the firewall bit for some time and check it again... May not be the same in your case, but hey, worth a shot...

I was using NOD32 btw, now on Norton.

I unfortunately do not have access to modem atm. The person who lives under me has it in his apartment and has been away. I believe the issue must be there. I am going to try and talk to service provider when he returns and i will update you if we get it sorted. thank you again.

So I figured I would try and swap out my thumb drives.(should have tried that in the beginning) I took the one that was working for me and put it it new computer. This worked! although the other one was working in old computer as well so I have no clue. Both are the exact same model.

Anyhow thank you all for your help!

i would leave them this way since they both work realy hard to see why it work on the old and not the new computer for the same device , did you check the version of the device they could be not the same .
