Hello community, my last computer was pretty much fried from viruses that were not taken care of. I've recently built a new computer and want a gtx 970. I'm wondering if there is any risk of attrmpting to use my old video card for the time being. Just not sure if it's burnt if it could damage my computer, or if there is some way the virus could be transmitted.

The BIOS won't be transferred via GPU, but if the card was really 'fried' or 'burnt' (in serious and straight sense), I'd rather not use it in the new build. But if you only mean fried with viruses (not physically), then its fine. Don't use your old HDD w/o wiping it though.
