hello all need some advise. I use my rig for gaming and as of this year games are not running how i want them to run anymore. trying watch dogs and wolvenstine and i was sad to see the performance i was having on these type of games not even been able to run them on high maintaining 60fps and with the recent demanding requirements for games and upcoming ones like the evil within having a min requirement for an i7 and recommended 4GB card I figured its time for an upgrade. but since these seem to be the next gen standerds in pc games is 4gb even going to be a enough?and if so what one should i get? id like to run on max at 1080p. i was thinking to get the gtx970 but im so out of date with the gpus and need some help with it all. this is my rig specs

Many, many have asked the same question over and over about the brands, G1 and MSI remain top notch for 900 series. EVGA has kind of dissapointed with ACX 1.0 and 2.0 is lot better, but still, MSI is the best OCer. Asus is good at everything but best at nothing particular, perhaps looks.
A GTX 970 would be nice upgrade, 4GB VRAM is more than enough for single display, look up for some benchmarks, it manages 50+ FPS on almost every demanding title maxed out, would be nicely complimented by the powerful CPU. I'd get MSI G4 or GB G1, cool, powerful, OCable cards. Inclined to MSI if you plan to SLI, for its a bit slimmer (for more airflow b/w the cards) and tad cool.

If you are looking for a cool (as in temperature card) I've always had pretty good luck with Asus. Their 970 Strix has the DirectCU II cooling system on it that does a great job. If you are willing to spend that little bit extra for it, I promise you will not be disappointed.

I'm currently debating the same kind of question that you have so I'm glad you asked. :)

Very solid answer. Asus is not above and beyond the rest at anything, but sits in a relatively neutral position. People have been disappointed about buzzing noises from the Asus, and also coil whine. Managed to vote it up twice :)
