Hi!
I just bought a new board but like the newbie I currently am to PC building :pt1cable:  I forgot to check to see if my case fans would work with the board. I've seen other post that say you can still use them but they'll just be at full speed, but I'm looking to do audio recording so loud fans could be a problem. Is there an adapter that I could buy so I can still control the speed of my fans?

Thank you anybody who posts! :)

Hello... You cant change a 3 WIRE fan to a 4 WIRE PWM Fan.
1) You could power it with the 5VDC wire from your PS for half speed operation.
2) You could wire a potentiometer in series with the 12vdc, and mount the knob on the side of your case, for variable speed.
3) Or you use the Plug and Play option suggested below.

You can buy a fan controller to control their speed. Here's what I use : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
and it works like a charm. You can plug 6 fans onto this but of course there are other ways to control the fan speed.
