I want to buy a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Gaming, Windforce 3X, 4096 MB DDR5. I will nead a PSU for that so I was thinking of a CX750 750W or a CS750M 750W. The CS750M 750W is 26 usd more expensive than the CX750 750W. Is the CS750M 750W worth puting the extra mony or not ? I wold use the Boost clock: 1329 MHz or eaven overclocked the card !

More about : psu cx750 cs750m

I wouldn't use either. Both use poor capacitors. With corsair you should stick with the hx and ax units. A good 500w psu is usually good for a system with a single 970.

It's not about the wattage, it's the quality of components used in their construction. When I buy or recommend a psu I look for something with longevity. Poor capacitors will shorten the psus life expectancy.

Hi - as mentioned above the Corsair CX/CS series are budget level PSU's and therefore do not use
better/best quality internal components.
In answer to your question, the difference between the cx750 & the cs750m is the "m" is a modular
cable design meaning you need only to attach the cables you actually need which results in a
neater look inside the case and more importantly increased air flow as a result od less cable clutter.
