I'm thinking about getting a new GPU, the R7 260X is just about in my price range and i'm just wondering if my motherboard is compatible with it.

Here's my systems specs:

Processor AMD A6-3670 APU
Video Card AMD Radeon HD 6530D
Memory 8GB
PSU 300W (don't know the model, I will be buying a nice 500W soon though)
MB MSI A55M-P33 FM1

It will support it.
I would get a GTX 750 Ti,it's more power efficient, quieter and cooler than the R7 260X and it offers the same performance.
What PSU do you want to buy?

Is the GTX 750 Ti similarly priced to the R7 260X? and I was thinking of this for the PSU, but i'm open to suggestions :p

XFX usually has the 550w/650w pro on sale, I've seen them both as low as $30, which is a great deal on a superior quality psu. The 550w will support up to a 280x,so budget will be your limiting factor on gpu choice.

Between the 750ti and 260x, the 750ti is the superior card, and the versions without additional power needs will run on a 300w psu.
