Dear forum members,
I recently changed placement of my hdd cage as I placed a fan at the bottom of it instead of stand. Hard drive cage isn't now screwed to anything it is just placed on top of fan with taped a little bit to the sides of case. I would like to know if vibration of the fan might damage my hard drives or it should be fine? It isn't like vibrating a lot just a little buzzing (it isn't like moving from vibration or something)
Here is the picture:

Of all the components in your computer, the ones that generate the most vibration are the fans. You have just placed your HDD case in the WORST possible location from the perspective of vibration. And it will only get progressively worse as the fans' bearings begin to wear. I suggest you find a better location for the HDD cage where it can be mounted securely and NOT in direct contact with fans.
