Trying to swap in an Apple Airport Extreme into an existing, (sloppy) business network. Currently the setup is DSL Modem-->Netgear Switch-->Cisco/Linksys E4200-->Another Netgear Switch.
I'm looking to replace the Cisco router as the wifi coverage it offers is severely lacking. However, just replacing the E4200 with the Airport Extreme results in a double NAT error which is not resolved by running the Airport in bridge mode.
The first switch appears to be just a lazy inclusion into the chain and is likely the source of my problems. I'm not sure of the exact structure of the entire network, but an interesting thing happens when the single LAN port cable being used is disconnected from the E4200. When disconnected, no internet connection becomes available on any device, whether wired post second switch (makes sense) or any WiFi connected device (baffles me since the WAN port is still connected to the E4200 with what should be a signal from the modem).
Any help would be appreciated, and I will try to provide any more details if needed.
