Hello everyone. Good night. I have upgraded from windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 technical preview. I liked it, but did not see major differences in relation to windows 8. Well, I'm not able to create a password for my user account. And that's troubling me. I live in a republic and I do not feel safe letting my files displayed on a computer without password.

Is there any way to enable passwords on w10 tech preview?

This is most likely going to be one of many issues you come across since it is not a completely finished product. I personally always recommend people to wait for about a month before downloading a preview of windows. That gives them some time to fix the bugs.

When you installed, the first account created gave the opportunity to create a password. It specifically asked you to create a pwd.
If you didn't, then you might be able to go into the Users section of Control Panel and do it there.

If you can't get into that....reinstall and start over.
But it does ask you to create a password for the first account.
