What do i need to update, the Motherboard, CPU, Optical Drive, HDD, SSD, or anything else? What do i do, what is needed to be updated? Will my Windows 8.1 update everything itself and tell me whats outdated or do i do everything manually?

Solution
No drivers for cpu or hard drive.

Your os and board probably defaulted to AHCI for the SSD drive so there is no other drivers for that. Get the samsung magician program that will optimize OS and will also find any firmware updates for the ssd.

You will need to run windows update which will update important things for windows (security, features, stability etc.) and you will need your GPU drivers, just download the amd catalyst off amd's website. You don't need drivers for your cpu, hdd, you might for ssd... What you want to get drivers or update is your windows, gpu, mobo aaannnd that about it....

You should use AHCI, but not a good idea to change from IDE to AHCI in the BIOS after. It'll crash. You should change it to AHCI before you install windows not after

Up to you if you want the software. If youre transferring data from one hdd to the SSD you can use it

Well it is a new PC i just put together, everything is brand new. I will just be installing Windows to the SSD and nothing more. What is AHCI anyways? Do i need to update my SSD or will it not be worth it in the end?
