amd fx 6300 or fx 8320

Solution
I just switch from the AMD FX 6300 @ 4.5ghz to the i5 4690k and it feels like i'm just built my gaming PC.

Better of getting the i3 4330 then get an i5 or i7 when you can.
If you plan on sticking with a the R9 280 for a while, the FX 8320 will be fine but anything higher than the R9 285 go intel (from experience).

You'd be better off providing statistical data to back up anecdotal evidence at the very least. Otherwise It's hard to believe an opinion based on words.

According to benchmarks

at 1080p you can expect around 53 fps with a high end intel processor on BF4 (a demanding game) with the 270x. You should expect around 43 with an amd processor. I would not call that fluid.

In your price range, I would upgrade to an intel processor. AMD is going to hold the build back in next gen games and more so even further down the line.
