Dont think you can use RAID for that. But its probably crashing because RAID needs drivers. No drivers you crash
Everywhere I've looked people say you have to have it turned on for it. You don't actually use raid for that but it has to be turned on. I can't find any raid drivers on the website for my motherboard though.
You need to do; ( sometime you can just change the registry subkeys in the regular mode, but I found that it will work well under the safe mode)
1) press 'win" and "R" go to the run command. Type " msconfig", press OK.
2) click "boot" tab, click the " safe boot". click " apply" and "OK". Reboot into the safe mode.
3) press 'win" and "R" go to the run command. Type " regedit ", press OK.
4) Locate the following registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStorV
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStorA
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStorF
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStor ( you may or may not have all the iaStorX X=A, F, or V key)
5)For example, click the "iaStorA", and in the right panel, look for the "star", right-click "Start" in the name column , click the " modify...."
6) In the value data box, type 0 if the number is "3", and then click OK.On the File menu, click exit to close Registry Editor.
7) press 'win" and "R" go to the run command. Type " msconfig", press OK.
8) click "boot" tab, uncheck the " safe boot". click " apply" and "OK". Reboot into the regular mode.
9) install the intel RST software ( iata_enu.exe ).

10) run the intel RST to set the SRT cache using the 32GB SSD. Here is how to. * Following the "Enabling Intel® Smart Response Technology" step by step.
