I am building a computer (recently bought a gtx 970, see full set up bellow). And because I just sunk over $400 into the card I'm a little worried about running it with my PSU (Enter Ultra lsp750).

I have heard dark rumors about Ultra PSUs before, but I'm having difficulty finding any specific reviews for the quality of the lsp 750 Watt supply. I started researching a little more, and found out that specific PSU is manufactured by Andyson. Then I started finding more dark rumors about that company.

I don't care if the PSU goes; but I really, really don't want have my new card fried...

So am I being too paranoid, or should I switch the PSU? And if so, should I do it immediately or am I okay until I upgrade my motherboard and cpu?

Please contribute your insights/knowldge

Video Card: Gtx 970 Strix
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6700
Mother board: Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT
PSU: Ultra lsp750 Watt ATX PSU
RAM: Corsair XMS3 4gb

How is Ultra a Tier 5 unit, which I believe it should be (Don't get me wrong), but I don't see any Ultra units listed ANYWHERE on the Tier list, which I think is an oversight and it seems like it used to be on there prior to the most recent update of the list?

The list has been edited. The Ultra LSP used to be in tier 5 when it was on the list. Neweggs list still has them at tier 5 https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx?Redirected=true

That's kinda what I thought. I know it's an extreme lot of work, but I wish somebody would create one big all encompassing (Or more realistically, MOSTLY encompassing) Tier list of at least ALL the common PSUs of which many big name brand models are NOT currently represented on any Tier lists. Thanks for the reply though BN.
