Ubuntu server host VMs

I am starting to learn Linux (Ubuntu server). How can I host a VM? I can find any document on host I setup a VM in Ubuntu server.

Check VMware Server, and Citrix Xen. They used to be free, now it seems there are trials only.

For desktop, you can always go to Oracle Virtualbox.

I am using Ubuntu server meaning there is no GUI, terminal only.
