So I have a gigabyte pm55 ud2 Mobo I5 socket 1156 and 8gb ram.
Now my Hdd died the other day so I got a SSD samsung one. Now
after my winows 7 install a hour later I got a blue screen saying machine exception I think it was a 09 exception.

So anyways it was all good cause I remember the guys as the pc store saying I may have a problem with something called AHCI. So I found onboard sata/ide ctrl mode it was in ide so I switched it to AHCI.
Now no blue screen a day and a half past I was playing some D3 and all the sudden my screens go black my Gpu runs at max fan speed and pc is still running so I turned it off. May I ask WTF just happened? I am so confused is there something I need in my bios that I just do not know? I also am using a sata2 cord for my SSD and my thermal paste was just recently changed got 10 Celsius cooler or so actually. I also have a radeon Hd 6950 unlocked to a 6970 with latest driver not beta driver either. This install of windows was like idk 2 days ago.

Anyways thanks to anyone who replies :) sorry for my bad grammar.

Edit I also have 2 screens 1 is HDMI and one is DVI

ya it still boots works for about 8 hours then freezes. Also ran prime 95 for about 10 mins but I was nervous from the heat on my cpu. Then furmark for about 20 mins and that was fine all my temps where good. I just reinstalled my gpu driver and updated windows and so far this morning no issues yet.
