hello
i recently got a lenovo y50 and this is my first laptop.
Usually i get desktops but now i am off to medschool and i was compelled to get a laptop (dorm)
Normally the temperature of the GPU is 60 under heavy gaming and 40 under normal use
however the cpu temp is 65-70 while heavy gaming and 45 normally
Is this normal?
And does anyone know how good the quality of y50 is?(its lifespan)
And please suggest so cooling pads for this laptop
Thanks

I'm not sure if that's normal temperature but that cpu can handle that np, it's max temp is 100C. - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i7-4700MQ-Noteb...

The gpu temperature on the other hand is completely normal.

From my knowledge of laptops if you don't overclock or anything like that it should last 5 years+ as long as you don't beat it up lol

Sorry about not suggesting a cooling pad as I have no knowledge on the subject, I wouldn't want to give you bad advice, have fun!

I would say the the cpu and gpu temps are normal. I can't recommend any cooling pads as I don't use them.
