i would stop using it..... check all parts for any damage. Could be a short in your mobo. Gpu processor and mobo would be where it could be coming from, as they get the hottest.

Have a close look at your motherboard and graphics card. Looking for burnt tracks or components.
Is the PC working?

The works fine but sometimes gets really hot. i know for sure its not the PSU because i've changed them 3 times.

If all fans are working, it shouldn't be anything unless you've got crappy parts or you've done something dumb.

My parts are fine. I think the guys who pre-built it caused the problem. I didn't want to send it back because i knew they would charge me the same amount of a new PSU. At least that's what i thought was the problem. But the smell is still there. i really don't know what it could be because everything works fine its just that the smell is there.

If you can't fix it, you need to pass it to someone who can.

did you work through the guide i posted? Similar threads stating a burning smell worked through that guide and solved the problem.
