HI,

I have a problem about BIOS.
Motherboard: gigabyte X99 gaming G1 wifi, BIOS verion is F8a
Hard disk: Seagate 500 GB

I have 3 HDs and 2 SSDs connect to the MB. One of them is Saegate 500GB.
When i press Del key to enter the bios withing this HD connecting , it shows me a black screen. NO response. But i still can login windows smoothly if i don't press Del key. I wonder if "A9" is a error code? I can see "A9" before the black screen show up. And it also showed on the MB's digit screen.
But when I just disconnect this seagate Hard disk, i can login BIOS and window without any problem.
What happened? Anybody can help? Thanks

[strike]I also got a seagate HDD and just got the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 and I cant get into my BIOS either or any other MoBo utility. They all just go black, imma shut down and try to remove my seagate and see what happens.[/strike]

EDIT: Nope sorry, I removed that HDD didnt work for mine, then removed all HDDs and the BD and still didnt work. Good luck

My situation:

Whenever my western digital black 3TB drive (WD3003FZEX) is connected to SATA port (no matter SATA3 0~5 or sSATA3 0~3), my computer cannot enter BIOS and is just stuck at a black screen. However, entering Windows without entering BIOS is fine. When the drive is not connected, I can enter both BIOS and Windows.

I guess I have to format it, sigh~

Did you reflect this to Gigabyte, I believe that is kind of a incompatibility issue...
