How to create a SSD for boot and programs and keep my HDD as storage?

So, I plan on getting an ASUS Zenbook UX303LN. In my region, I can only get the i5/1TB 5400RPM SATA/4GBRAM/NVIDIA 840M configuration.

So, there is an extra slot which can fit a half-size mSATA SSD, which I would like to make it the primary drive with the OS and to put my programs and games in.

I also plan on doing a fresh install on the SSD once I get the laptop since I read that it's cleaner and easier that way. I want to wipe the HDD (which would currently be the primary drive with the OS) to be used as storage.

Is there a clear step-by-step guide (prefarably with pics) or video for this? If not, could someone write down the steps for me? Please and thank you very much in advance.

Solution
This is what I did.

Install the SSD, but don't install the HDD yet.

Then you can install the OS. After the OS installation, shut your computer down and install the HDD.

Turn your computer back on and viola!

UPDATE

You'd have to format your HDD when you boot back to Windows before you can start using it. At least that's how it was for me

anyway.
