Title describes it all really, looking to get it, im looking at the corsair 450D as i want a new case and i like the fans that corsair produce and this case comes with 3 :)
So basically, will my 290s be able to be kept cool? or will it be like death valley in there? also, im looking at a new motherboard for my 8320 so if there is a certain one where the first and second pci slot have some space, hit me up there aswell...
Another thing, is the power draw, i currently have a CX750M which i understand isnt sufficient for the 2 cards... so what psu would you recommend for as little as possible (i have found the EVGA 1300w #overkillingit for £10 more than the 1000w so i thought it may be worthwhile...)

Solution
R9 290 will make a lot of heat and be very noisy when playing games.
Same goes with the 290X.
I wouldn't use that PSU.Especially for gaming with an R9 290.
However, the 450D is a good choice. You can stick some fans, have better airflow and possibly reduce the heat and noise(not by much though).
And I would NEVER EVER CROSSFIRE the R9 290. You will feel like you are standing next to an airplane in the hottest place in the Solar system.
As for the MoBo goes,M5A99X EVO R2.0 or M5A99FX PRO R2.0 would be your best choices.

I'm not sure why you would want a reference design R9 290, but you can look on eBay, I got one before for $250 and I took off the cooler right away and replaced it with NZXT G10 and H80i then sold that thing for $400. But anyway, R9 290 on reference design goes up to 95c in about 5 minutes of gaming, the TDP on it is 275W.

Also forgot to mention lads, ive already got 1 290... looking to get a second for christmas, alongside some other upgrades... and 95 degrees isnt that bad imo, it was worse when i used to have 2 mining rigs and they were all at 90 degrees constantly all day all night, but ive gotten rid of those rigs, and anyways, heat isnt too big an issue for me as im used to it now, noise however, is... i was looking to get an aftermarket one, but for the £50 extra i was gonna be paying for one used on ebay, i could get a reference and buy the G10 etc... but spending £130 extra ontop of the cards wasnt really an option i wanted to take, i was just wanting a case with good airflow, a motherboard with plenty of room between the cards and cold air being pushed in seemed like a better idea... But if you have any ideas for what my options could be, hit me up...

mine had 35-45% fan speed and it never went over 80, however I did have a 80mm side case fan blowing air into it

thing is, i would happily have a fan blowing air straight in, but there is literally 2 cases with fans on the side... or even a slot for a fan....

what was your ambient room temp though? i imagine quite high, mines about medium... so i will hopefully sit on about 93-95... which is safe for the 290, but any case ideas with a side fan?
