So I'm building my first computer, and I know a lot about computers I feel like. But I'm just stuck on my components on what processor, what gpu, ect.. So far I've purchased:

-thermaltake a31 chaser
-8 gb ddr3 g.skill ripjaw 1600 ram
-630 watt rosewill psu
-1 TB harddrive
-Windows 7 home premium

So yeah basically I've purchased all the small things, now it's come down to what's going to make my pc what it is and idk what to do. I have $500-600 left for a motherboard, gpu, cpu, and whatever else is left you guys can suggest. (Btw I have a monitor and keyboard and mouse ect all those things.) thanks so much!

Are you into overclocking or not?

This is probably what I'd do...

Alternatively, get an r9 290 and an SSD for a boost in loading times

This is all assuming this PC is for gaming of course!

Not really, I've never done it. I'm mostly into gaming, video editing, ect.. I'll be playing dayZ, Garry's mod, bf4, some cods, maybe some other games just depends. I do some work in after effects and cinema 4d along with some other programs. I'd just like to play 1080p ultra settings, getting AT LEAST 60fps (: thanks!

Either of the above builds will work well then. The R9 290 will produce a fair bit more heat and probably that will translate into more noise but is a strong performer. The GTX 970 has a lot of new features and is a stronger performer (see this review for specifics http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-...)

An SSD is something you can add to your build later if you choose to without having to spend much unlike the gpu
