Hello

i have a AMD Athlon 6400 X2 4000+ and i am having serious problems with it.It is overheating too much.

I have tested all things applied Noctua Nt H1 thermal paste
The Heatsink is cleaned properly

Installed fresh windows.No more background problems are running consuming cpu

What can be the problem?

Is my CPU at last stage?Is there life span of AMD Athlon?
Computer was bought in 2007

Temperature reaches upto 107 Celsius

It might have a bug in it. But before we give that as our last answer try looking in the motherboard for cpu fan control or download SpeedFan and see if you can get the fans to spin faster. If the temperatures don't go down then something is faulty inside your cpu causing it to reach extreme temperatures. By that time it...

hello thank you for reply but my cpu stock fan of amd is rotating properly.and Bios also shows 3200 rpm .
than why are you suggesting for fan replace?
