I'm thinking of buying AMD 7770. My main concern is if its compatible with my CPU. On the buying page the requirements shown are 2x 75 Watt 6-pin PCIExpress PowerConnector, 1x 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express PowerConnector, Blu-ray, HDDVD, CD-ROM Drive. My specs are : intel dh55tc, intel core i3 540@3.07 ghz, 2gb ddr3 ram(gonna extend it).please join the dots for me.

More about : compatible amd 7770

You have a PCI-E X16 slot, the card will work. Your current system with info given will also support the card. Don't worry about the PCI-E version, PCI-E is backwards/forwards compatible so the card will work. I also assume your power supply is sufficient enough from the start. To be sure, what is your current power supply?

My current PSU is only 250V but I'm gonna update it alongwith the RAM. Will 450V suffice?

Upgrade the PSU and you'll be fine.

Get a EVGA 500B PSU, this'll save you the hassles of identifying it if your going to upgrade it anyways.
