Hi Im enew to the forum, but Ive been using it to solve a alot of PC issues for awhile. I recently upgraded my computer by installing a NVIDIA Geforce GT 620. I still have my AMD HD Radeon 4800 series graphics card installed. I have a m4a79xtd evo motherboard which has 'crossfire compatibility'. Does this mean I can have both graphics cards installed/running, without removing the old AMD Drivers?

Here are the Comp specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 Quad-Core Processor 635 (2.9GHz) AM3

Motherboard: m4a79xtd evo: 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 , support ATI CrossFireX™ technology (at one x16 or dual x8 link), 2 x PCIe x1, 2 x PCI 2.2

Graphics Card: POWERCOLOR AX4850 1GBD3-PH Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit
GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
+ NVIDIA GeForce GT 620

Power Supply: 450W

Memory: 16GB (although dxdiag only shows 12GB, but Im working on that)

Hard Drive: Western Digital ddr3 500GB HDD

sure, you can have them both installed but they wont work in crossfire or sli. only one card will be utilized at a time.

there are some hacks to use the nvidia card for using the amd card as main and nvidia as physx but it isnt official.
