Hello Folks, I have my i7 with 4 monitors (2 x 27 & 2 X 25 - HP line) display for 5 years now. I use with a ASUS HD 3870 x2 (ATI tech - 1gb)... I am considering to upgrade my i7 (as my mother board Intel x55 is getting old and one of the memory bay not working anymore), and get 2 Monitor 4K (may be samsung)- My question to the wiz's: My Asus video card supports this kind of 4k resolution. I like 4 monitors. Don't want to spend much. What's the config you suggest? Gimme please 2 options: 1 with avery budget and 1 a little bit more expensive. Thank you!! Regards from South Florida (Boca Raton). Gabi Maurice - maurice@rioliss.com

Your GPU doesn't support 4K.

Agreed. Don't spend this kind of money on monitors first, upgrade your rig.

Thanks for the advice! What do you suggest me? I really want to upgrade, at least, one of my monitors to a 4K resolution.

Right now, the only way to do 4K gaming at high settings is with dual GTX 980, the R9 295x2.
I haven't seen dual GTX 980 benchmarks, but single GTX 980 is at the same level of the R9 290X, so the GPU setups should perform near the same. The R9 295x2 is cheaper than dual GTX 980, but the 980s consume less power.
