As the title says! Also, the PSU is the CORSAIR CX500.
As for my CPU: I5 4440

I plan a full overclock to the R9 270X's power, but the cx500 should be fine right?

thanks,

It should be fine, considering the overclock won't make the power consumption exceed 200w.

Yes it will overclock just fine on your 500W PSU.

Do not go extreme on the overclocking though, the CX series PSU are not really good enough for that sort of thing, but mild overclocking is fine.

Is it still a better option though then just getting the R9 270X instead of NON X?

Also, one more thing! I know i should just open another thread for this, but which 270 should i get? My only options are the GIGABYTE r9 270, or the ASUS r9 270. which one is better for overclocking?

MSI and Sapphire's cards are excellent too. But between those two, I'd pick Asus.

An overclocked 270X can have the potential to theoretically come close to the performance of a 280X. My 270X can theoretically achieve 3.02 teraflops where the standard 270X is 2.6 teraflops, and a 280X is 3.3 or 3.4 teraflops or something.

An overclocked 270 non-X can have the potential to reach performance of stock 270X.

"Teraflops" dot not necessarily translate to ACTUAL performance.

However I would like to the R9 270x reach R9 280x levels of performance.

Since there's a disregard for his choice of GPU, might as well go all the way and suggest a GTX 980.
