Sony vegas 11 problem

Im making an edit for a montage parody on sony vegas 11 and its going well but when i save the file and reopen it, it dosent open with all the components of the edit it just opens with all of it together as 1 video and audio track, it still works but i would like all the tracks seperate. anyway to fix this?

You are probably publishing it, what you want to do is save your project as a .veg. This is Sony Vegas's main file type so that you can open it up still.
