Hi , im wondering if this would be a good build

Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 760 OC Graphics Card 4GB
NZXT Phantom mid tower (unsure about ultra)
120gb ssd
8gb RAM
do you guys think intel core i5 is better than AMD FX-8320

any motherboard, psu, general suggestions would be amazing

Thank you

If the FX 8320 will give you some extra bucks to spend on the processor, do so. A lower end CPU with a higher end GPU is better than a higher end CPU with lower end GPU

How much money do you wish to spend (give or take)? That will allow us to make better targeted choices. The cheaper FX 8320 has higher thermal and power loads than i5, in general, and allowance must be made for that.

For the 8320, ASUS M5A99X EVO or Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

thank you so much for your answers , well id say mid range without all the fluff , id like to be able to upgrade various parts but id say around $1000+ for everything , the core parts being the gpu ,cpu and memory , im very unsure about planning the build but im definitely going to go for your suggestions

For PSU you'll want something from Antec, Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, PC powe and Cooling, or XFX. NEVER buy a cheap PSU as it can fail on you and destroy your PC components

For RAM, any brand is fine, G Skill, Corsair, and Crucial being my favorite brands

Skip Corsair for the PSU. Too complicated tosort out which are good and bad. For EVGA only go for the B2, G2, P2 series. everything else is mediocre.

Also, get a 2gb 760, not a 4gb one unless they are the same price. You will get nothing out of the 4gb version over the 2gb one.

This +1. Corsair is either really good or really mediocre and EVGA is mostly good, but have some meh units. Also avoid the Antec Basiq series. Only get a 2gb 760 if you don't plan to SLI

Yes a 2gb 760 would be better than the PS4.

For the case I recommend the Corsair 300r.
