I am putting together my new stuff and I have run into a tiny snag. I got an Asus z97 sabertooth mark 2. The case i'm using is an older but perfectly serviceable alienware case. Im using some recycled parts to keep the build within my budget and ill upgrade things as I can. Anyway, The only connectors I have are the hard drive one which the z97 manual clearly stated where to plug it, the power SW, also in the manual, and 2 seperate singles called power led + and - . These aren't in the manual and there is no indicator on the board or the little connector that came with the board. And shouldn't there be more than just these 3?

Not necessarily. Alienware may have had limited led lighting. Perhaps nothing for hdd activity etc. The led + and - from the front panel should connect to the PLED connectors, as seen here:
