As the title says.

I am honestly a complete novice when it comes to computer building, so I'm at the end of my knowledge.

When I install my new XFX R7 240, I get a black screen on my display. My specs are below.

PC Make - HP
Motherboard Make and Model - Foxconn Joshua-H61-uATX (Joshua)
CPU - Intel i3-2120 @ 3.30 3.30
Graphics - Integrated (Without R7 240)

Solution
Prebuilt desktop - Possibility it has locked BIOS.

What does this mean? - Any hardware upgrade like this will not work unless the motherboard is replaced.

After being on the forums for a reasonable amount of time, I have noticed that with prebuilts, not everyones upgrades work, and some do. HP are notorious for them locking their system BIOS which prevents modifications t their systems.
