Hi !

I'm having troubles with my GTX 760. I bought it 4 months ago and at first i believe it was running fine.

But a few weeks ago, i started noticing low fps in every game and only a reboot could fix it.

For example, when i play Far Cry 3 in ultra settings, i would usually get around 50 fps and when this issue occurs, i'd only get around 15-20 fps. And when i reboot my computer and restart Far Cry 3, i'd get 50 fps again. And if i let my pc on for a few hours and start playing again, the problem could happen again. It happens with every game, even Diablo 3 which doesn't require a high-end GPU to run, i can get less than 60 fps and a constant stutter in game.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Nvidia drivers with "Display Driver Uninstaller".
I tried to change the PCI-E port of the GPU.
I tried updating the motherboard bios.
I tried disabling my 2nd screen and it's still happening with one screen.
I checked if it was overheating but it's not (below 60°C at all times)
I checked Core Clock and it's not stuck on 2D Core clock when it happens.
The only things noticeable are the higher GPU usage (could be something like twice GPU usage, almost always 99% with DIablo 3) and the low fps and stutter of course.
There is no problem with CPU usage (i7 4790K cannot be beaten by Diablo 3 nor Far Cry 3 even with stock clock)

It's not a big issue since rebooting fixes it for a while but still it can get pretty annoying to reboot everytime i want to play a game.

I'll get a GTX 970 in a few days so i'll see if the issue was GPU related when i'll test the GTX 970 but if anyone know anything i could do to identify the problem or if anyone has had similar issues with this GPU or a Nvidia GPU in general (i've seen similar topics but i never found a solution...) please help me !

Intel Core i7 4790k @ 4 GHz
