Unique PCI Slot for NZXT LED Controller - PLEASE HELP

Hey everyone!

Next month I will be building my first Gaming/Home Entertainment PC. I have chosen to go with the Corsair 250D as it will fit my entertainment center, and would be a great centerpiece for my living room.

I plan on having red LEDs to give it a cool glow out of the front and top window of the case. My problem is that I want to be able to control the LEDs brightness and would like to use the NZXT easy LED kit (http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/101-sleeved-led-kit-case-accessory) since it would be so much easier to install and control.

The 250D only has two PCI slots on the back, and I will be running a dual slot GPU. How would you go about mounting the controller? My only idea is to have a friend who is a machinist cut a hole into the hard drive cage mesh cover plate that is pictured at the bottom left of this picture:

From there I could either use double sided 3M tape or have my friend drill tiny screw mounts onto the grill. Any better ideas? I'm new to this. . .

I don't think you'll have room there once the cages are occupied nor do I think a professional machinist is needed for that (although the end result may be nicer), there are a few ideas I have offhand how to go about it. You will need two holes added to your case somewhere (or one that gives access to both controls). The first thing to do is forget about the PCI bracket, it's an encumbrance (it may come in handy for mounting though - maybe not). Without the PCI constraint, where can it go? You have the side panel, the back panel on the opposite side of the PSU from the PCI slots, depending on the size of the PCB, it may even be able to go above the PCI slots, the front panel may be begging for another button... more than one option...

Consider how the PCB is mounted onto the PCI bracket, can it easily be mounted to the case the same way? Is an adhesive, rivets or screws a better option or even a workable option?
Case modding is art form, there are no "do it this way" type instructions to follow - it'll be your creativity and ingenuity that allows you to figure the best setup for you
