I am in the process of changing the motherboard in a dell 1545 & the replacement board is from a 1545 but has a 2.2ghz while the stock board has 2.0ghz will i have trouble with windows reactivating with the original windows vista installation (I dont plan on re-installing the operating system just put the old hard drive back in) ?

Solution
My guess is yes. Try it and see. Microsoft can be a little touchy about activating distributed-with-hardware licenses on a new mobo / CPU.

Also bear in mind that the drivers on the old disk may not be appropriate for the new mobo.
