Hi,

Here is the deal .. One of my computers use this 4CoreDual-Sata2 motherboard with 2x2GB ddr2 in dual channel mode.

With a modded Bios from Treiber (ami 2.20a) this board can handle 4GB ddr2 667 (or 800) in dual channel mode, 2x2GB in slot 1 and slot 3 (yellow ones). Thats a fact!

AMI Bios say i have 4096 memory in dual (667) channel mode, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1 say that i have 4GB installed (usable 3,2GB).

This is correct and use to happen in this machine when its all right.

My problem: ASRock 4CoreDual-Sata2 M.Board "not handle dual channel mode anymore"

Computer works fine but, with 2x2GB ddr2 (4GB) installed Bios show me 2048GB single channel, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1 show me 2,00GB and ............... GUESS ... CPUZ tells me that I´m in Dual Channel mode 667 and i have 2x2GB = 4096 GB

This issue driving me nuts, why my Bios only show 2048GB Single Channel and CPUZ show 4096GB Dual Channel??

Things i have tried: Take processor out and seat it again. Tested memory individually and both are good. Try with other good memory, swap memory.
Flash bios several times with oficial bios 2.20 and several times with a fully working modded treiber bios. Untick memory in msconfig advanced menu. Several bios reset and load optimal defaults... etc..

Nothing seams to work, 4CoreDual-Sata2 motherboard seams to have only one channel active ...

This machine Specs:

MB: ASrock 4CoreDualSata2 (Rev.1)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 - 2,93
Graphics: ATI Radeon 4670 AGP - 1GB
HDD: Crucial MX100 SSD 256GB.
HDD-2: WD Blue 1T - SATA3 - 7.200 rpm - 64MB Cache.
PSU: Nox Urano II 630w
Memory modules: 2x2GB Team Elite DDR2 800

Also tested with 2x1GB Kingstone 667 and 2x2GB Kingstone 800.
Not a faulty memory problem.

Please help me.
