Hello,

I have a Toshiba Canvio Connect 2TB USB 3.0 2.5" External HDD that is no longer being detected by either my desktop or laptop, both running Vista 32-bit. Drive lights up when plugged in and spins normally...but no detection anywhere, including BIOS, Disk Management, and Device Manager. I've connected the drive to all of my USB ports and still nothing! What am I missing?

Solved! The only thing left to try was to pick up a powered USB hub and see if my computers weren't giving the drive enough juice. After plugging my drive into the hub...presto! This is bizarre to me, as I have used the drive on my desktop before. Anyway, I hope this helps some of you who are facing a similar issue!
