Will a better graphics card make video rendering faster?

I currently have a gtx 650 ti 1gb and will be upgrading to a gtx 970, where will I seen improvements when it comes to video rendering and recording? I put my recording software on 1080p and it records at a strained terrible 480p(still says its 1080p in the software), will that become true 1080p if I get a 970?
Setup:
Recording with mirillis action
16gb corsair vengeance ram
Fx 8320 cpu
Gigabyte 970A d3p Motherboard

It may help some, but since the CPU does most of the work when it comes to rendering, you need to either overclock the CPU or move to a faster CPU or a better performing CPU. I'd recommend just overclocking. In the description of your motherboard, did you mean for it to say UD3P or is it the older D3P? If it's the D3P it's not great for overclocking.

Really, for what you want, I'd probably recommend upgrading to the FX-8350 which is 500mhz faster on the stock clock and turbos to 4.2Ghz which is 700mhz faster per core than the stock 8320 speed. You can get as good of overclocks with the 8320 but you would really want a better board if you went that route. Probably better to just upgrade the cpu.

What about getting the 8370? Should I get a less expensive card and a better CPU?
