I just got back from a LAN party and my computer worked just fine, when I get home and boot it up, it turns on fine but then shuts off after 8 seconds or so. So I popped it open and looked inside everything looks in order as usual. Tried different plugs no go. The last time I tried booting it started and was running max speed on some fan or fans and then shut off.

Any ideas?

It's so weird, no it doesn't make any noise but the fan thing only happened once, I tried again later and it didn't repeat the fan but shutdown once again.

On an added note because I never get a splash or any screen action would it be the PSU?

look.. I dont wanna be the guy that says its a thing and ends up costing some one money.. its pretty hard to tell because this could easily be a dead motherboard or a plug got loose inside or plugged into the wrong spot... but if i had to guess and it was my pc.. I would guess the psu.. if your not getting any screen action it possible your psu cant sustain the power to your gpu for w/e reason.. so either the psu is gimping or the gpu is doing some weird stuff..

sorry i cant be more help but with no bios and no screen its pretty hard to determine.. might be worth having it checked out at a local pc shop that can test the parts.

most commonly I would say something got bumped loose but ye never know

Well oddly enough it fixed itself overnight, sorry for any future people who might see this with the same issue my suggestion to you is just leave it for 12 hours and try again.
