My current setup are as follows:

CPU
AMD A8-6600K (can be OC'ed up to 5ghz)
Richland 32nm Technology

RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-10-24)

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. F2A55M-DS2 (P0)

Graphics
R-W5006L (1280x800@60Hz)
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 8570D (ATI)

PSU
750watts
=====================================

*I have no plans on upgrading my PSU nor my Mobo nor my Processor. My budget is alloted to a GPU alone ($80-$120).*

I've been hearing this "crossfire hybrid" w/c seems to be supported by my Processor but some are saying it's terrible but others saying it's a good choice. Another thing is, i don't know w/c cards can be used for crossfire for this processor.

I was hoping someone can enlighten me as to what GPU should i buy? Also, bought a Cooling unit for my Processor so that if push comes to shove, i can OC it to lessen bottlenecking the GPU. Also, i would prefer an ATI RADEON card over nVdia cards.

Please elaborate on your power supply (make/model), watts is one thing, amps on the 12 volt rail is another.

I wouldn't go dual graphics either (pairing GPU+CPU Graphics), the cards that can only pair aren't very good to begin with.

With the graphics card, I'd keep it to a R7 260X/GTX 750Ti as Meteors Listed.

Well, it's a "Generic" PSU. there isn't even a 6pin cable in it, so i was hoping for a medium-high performance card that would not require add'l power source.

Also, you are saying that i should either buy R7 260X/GTX 750Ti and use them as stand alone GPU? no more crossfire hybrid?

There should be a sticker on the PSU with info about wattage on 3.3V line/ 12V line/ etc. If you can post a snap of that here, it'd be very helpful.

Also, does it have a socket for a 6 pin? If its anywhere near 750W, it should.

Lastly, Hybird-Fire is only supported with limited cards and CFX of mid range GPUs is usually not worth it. R7 260X CFX is just 5-10 FPS better than GTX 750 Ti, in the same way, a single 750 Ti would be more power efficient (60W) while giving the desired performance of Hybird CFX, IMO.

Well, I see no particular reason to go with AMD over Nvidia in terms of GPU. GTX 750 Ti EVGA is $120 on Newegg and better than the best AMD you can get under $120, the R7 260X.

IF i get the OC version of these cards, will i need a new PSU? (My PSU has no 6pin pegs)

As mentioned, we can't tell for sure unless you present the wattage of the PSU on 12V line. And, with no 6 pin socket, you can't get 750 Ti or 260X, HD 7750 is the best GPU which doesn't require a connector.

Sorry, no 6pin. My PSU is a hand-me-down and the 6pin peg are missing when i got it. Should i buy a better PSU with the 6ping pegs? IF i do buy one, will my options for a GPU increase? What's the recommended PSU specifications?

Sorry for the questions, i got these parts from random people who didn't want theirs and just assembled a PC out of it.

Yep, if you buy a PSU, your GPU choices would expand (provided you have the budget), a minimum of 500W is recommend, from a decent brand like XFX/ EVGA/ SeaSonic/ Antec. I'd get a XFX Pro 550W or EVGA 500B and pair the system with a GTX 750 Ti.

Thanks for the info and the help. It was GREAT!
learning from this i guess i'll sell my old PSU 1st then buy a better one, then i'll pick from the cards you mentioned before.

Thank you very much for helping!
