Hello. I'm moderate level with tech. My situation is that I have kids & they use our main TV. I spend my leisure time laying on my back on a couch. I've wanted to be able to play games with a laptop but I thought I came up with a better idea of hooking up a portable monitor directly to a PC, the only problem was how to attach a monitor to a keyboard, in effect turning it into a quasi-laptop, because I don't think I would be able to balance the monitor on my lap with the keyboard. I don't care about taking it outside the house or anything like that. I've looked everywhere for a setup but can't find anyway to mount a keyboard to a monitor. any ideas?

More about : attach monitor keyboard

I think you would have to build something and attach the monitor and keyboard. It sounds a bit cumbersome.
What about something like a Nvidia Shield instead, streaming games from a computer in the house with a GeForce graphics card?

I'm a bit confused about what you are trying to do, you want to hold a desktop monitor in your lap along with a keyboard is that right? Why not just stick the monitor on a table in front of you with a longer cable and get a wireless keyboard? Why attach it to anything? If you want to attach it use velcro or maybe some corner clips on the back of the monitor that you can click the keyboard into.

There are not a lot of games you can play while lying on a couch, those you can play that way you can get a tablet to click on things for not much more than a monitor would cost.
