Hi guys,
i have a Hanns G LCD display had it for about 8 years now! the unit had a power board issue so i changed the capacitors on the board and that fixed it. a few days later however it developed a new problem, now when the screen is black i see many Green pixels as static on the screen. i replaced the inverter board on the LCD and it fixed it. about a week later the green static pixels returned on black areas of the screen.

the problem stops sometimes when i power down. i don't think its is my G card as this happens when the screen starts up also.

any ideas? considering i have changed the Power board Capacitors i don't think it would be that and the fact its had a refurbed inverter fitted leads me to think maybe it was not refurbished to top quality?

thanks all!

Green pixels? Sounds like stuck pixels to me. There are several flash programs and such that can massage out stuck pixels but you have to run it for an hour or more most of the time.

Jeez you must really love your monitor if you've had it for 8 years.

I have thought it may be. But it is intermittent. The screen will usually go like it after an hour or so once it's running at a hotter temp. And if it was a stuck pixel it wouldn't be as excessive as it is I mean the whole screen has it probably over 600 green pixels. I'll try to run a stuck pixel program and report back but I don't hold hope. And yes I love it!! Easy to repair and it's lasted up until now :)
