Hi,

I was planning to buy a new Graphic Card btwn R9270x/R9280x/GTX760/GTX770 for a long time
However... My amazing, lovely, fantastic friends gave me NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 as a Birthday Gift [.. ?which was on my wishlist].

My system Specs:-

Processor - CPU AMD 3.5ghz AM3+ FX-6300
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
Memory - Kingston HyperX Blu ddr3 4gb
PSU - Corsair VS650 650 Watt
HDD - Segate 2 TB HDD & 500GB HDD
Cabinet - Cooler Master HAF 912 Transparent
(2x120mm front fan,120mm side & 120mm back fan)
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
GPU Model - ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5

I know its is compatible, but please let me know...

- what will be is the max. load temp for this GC
- do i need to have a better PSU [ +650 watt, gold or platinum certified]
- already 4 fans, do i need an additional FAN [200mm] for cooling
- is 4 gb ddr3 ram enough for smooth high end gaming

Thanks...

Solution
1. Keep it under 90C, but the Asus cooler is good, so it will probably stay under 75C.
2. The one you have has enough wattage and amperage, although its not very high quality. Efficiency does not mean BETTER, just that it saves you a bit of money on your electricity bill.
3. No need.
4. You need 8GB for reliable gaming, get another 4GB chip with similar specs, CAS latency, MHz, and voltage needs to be the same.

PS : You have some awesoem friends :D

Solution
max temp below 80 degrees is good

Your card is compatible with your system

PSU is sufficient enough though refrain from overclocking

no need for additional fans in your case

4GB ram is enough, though for later I would invest in a FX 8320 and 8GB Ram (get another module kit that is exactly the same as your current) . (Add it to your wishlist! Your friends may buy you that too.) This is a suggestion for an upgrade later.

He is using a 760G chipset board, 8-core FX CPUs do not work well on them. 6-core is pushing it already.
