Hello. So I decided to get myself a 4790k and I wanted to ask what cooler should I get for it? Don't mind gettin a water cooled one if it's worth since I prefer cheap and quiet combination. I will do no overclocking and run it on stock clocks. Just want to make it run on lower temperatures and I heard that the stock cooler is loud. Thank you for your suggestions ;)

Don't buy a water cooler if you want quietness, most are louder than their air counterparts. Have a look at Noctuas and Phanteks, they're all quiet but very powerful (except LP Noctuas), comparable to liquid coolers in terms of performance. Also, Xigmatek DK, NZXT Respire T40, Scythe Katana 4 are other value for money quiet options. I'd go with NZXT T40, its quiet and powerful, more than fine for stock speeds :)

If you have a squishy case, get a H100i or Swiftech 220 etc All In One (AIO) water cooler.

If you have enough room get a Noctua DH14 or 15 air cooler.

go for the new swiftech 220x or 240x if its in your budget, its basically a pre assembled custom loop, which is easily expandable, even without overcloking it will perform better and be totally worth it, not sure if the pump speeds are adjustable, but it should be quit enough
