Depending on your laptop, there might be a switch on the side (assuming that this is a laptop), or some type of combination of the "FN" key and "F keys".

If everything checks out there, you may want to look in the BIOS to make srue the wireless adapter is enabled.

Also, make sure you don't have the wireless device disabled in Windows.
