Hey, I'm really new to PC gaming and I have a Gateway DX4380G-UW308 and the specs that I know of are: AMD A6 5400K dual-core processor, AMD Radeon HD 7540D graphics card, 6 GB DDR3 (all parts are stock parts). I don't know what the motherboard or power supply are and I have searched multiple sites and can't seem to find them out. My question is, what parts should I buy in order to optimize this computer for gaming? My budget is around $300 but I'd prefer to spend as little as possible. Games I'm looking to run: Arma 3, Battlefield 4, Minecraft with shaders mod, Planetside 2, and other Triple A titles with maxxed settings or higher settings and with a fps of 60+. I know my budget might not be enough for a complete upgrade but what is the best that I can do? I have thought about buying a GTX 750ti, but I don't want to purchase something that won't run as well as I'd like and then have to buy another part in the near future. Also thank you for taking time to read this thread, even if you didn't post anything.

To get the performance you want, you pretty much need a whole new PC of 700$+.

As for an optimal upgrade for around 300$, a new Power supply of around 550w and a discreet graphics card like an R9 270 would be decent.

But your A6 5400K will hold you back, ESPECIALLY in the games you mentioned, ALL of them are pretty CPU intensive.
