Hey guys, so my ALIENWARE 17 has 2 graphic cards: a intel HD graphics 4000 and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880m. So is it possible to replace the intel HD graphics 4000 with an additional 880m and enabling SLI ? If yes, where can i purchase a GPU, other than eBay ?

PS:i don't live in the US, so i need to know where can i purchase a mobile GPU (internationally)

BTW: ALIENWARE laptop GPU's ARE removable (MXM)

The Intel HD Graphics are on die with CPU, removing it means to remove the CPU. HD graphics are onboard graphics, 880m is the dedicated GPU.

No for 2 reasons, your mobo will probably not have 2 slots for a graphics card and intel HD graphics are integrated into the die of the cpu. So if you try to remove the HD graphics you will remove the CPU itself.

So you mean, if i need to replace the GPU, i also need to replace the CPU ?

No because they are two seperate chips, just watch out for socket compatibility when looking for a new gpu or cpu
