I already have a XFX 1Gb HD 7770 Double Dissaption (costed about $120). It performs very well, but lags behind when playing more intense games. I am one of the few that game at 1440p, and I've tried 1080p and it looks absolutely terrible. So I'm wondering if for now it would be worth it to get another HD7770 or get a better card like a r9 270x. I have a AMD FX 8320 overclocked at 4.2 ghz.

Thanks- Alex

IMO, single card solutions are the best way to go. However, since you already have a 7770, it will be more cost effective to crossfire, but the performance will still not be up to the level of a r9 270. Also, driver issues still arise with radeon, even though they are making some progress in sorting it out.

If it was me, I'd sell the 7770 and put that $ toward a r9 270 or an gtx 760

dont crossfire a hd7770 just get a r9 270 dont get the r9 270x no reason to pay more dollars for about same performance
just overclock a r9 270 and get the performance of r9 270x or even better performance than r9 270x

Well I know my motherboard has crossfire capability, but I just wanted to know what a 7770/ r7 250x would be equal to. Also after Christmas when I can get more computer parts (another hdd and ssd) I will only be spending my money on graphic card upgrades. So for about 8 months- 14 months would I be fine with two HD 7770's?

Thanks- Alex

Thanks you. My MB doesn't support SLI but I'm sure theres a hack for it. What are the advantages of the gtx 760 over the r9 270 and vide versa?

Thanks- Alex

I found a r9 280 for $150. Good deal? Lol im sure the 760 is better than a 270 but a 280 for $150? I payed $130 for my HD 7770 about two years ago. 280? Good deal?

Thanks-Alex
