In the past i have smooth connection running games on my laptop. Till recently i have some slight overheating with my laptop but i have replaced the thermal paste and also cleaned the cooling fan.
Is overheating the main cause of my packet loss in game or is there other reasons? Any solution for it?

Can anyone advise me?

Overheating does not cause packet loss.

How can you tell if you are getting packet loss. What kinda software are you using.

How are you connecting to ISP wireless or Cat 5 or 6 cords.

Thanks for your reply.

The Game that i'm playing ( Dota2 ) has a self tester which could see the pings and packets loss.
And i'm connecting via wireless, did't seems to have a problem for the past 4 years.

Is this your own wireless setup. If so try resetting every thing. There should be a reset button on the wireless router and modem.

If this some body else internet then i would most likely say your out of luck.Basicly your steeling some body else internet.Unless it is free wifi like coffee shops.

But yet again if this is your own isp setup i would have your internet service provider come out and check your lines.Your lines could be out of date.
