Hey guys,

My friend has a laptop with windows 8, and he wants me to install windows 7 on it for him. So i tried to install windows 7, but could not because of the way the Lenovo partition was configured. So i decided to use DBAN to wipe the computer completely and try the windows 7 install again. So, DBAN won't run because it can't see the hard drive, i think. It just says "No system disk, booting from hard disk". I'm not sure what to do and would appreciate any help.

The laptop is a Lenovo G585 http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/essential/g-series...

Thanks guys

Wait, did it run DBAN or not? From the error, it sounds like windows couldnt detect DBAN from the drive.

EDIT: I'm a little confused because you said DBAN didn't run because it couldn't see hard drive. Did it boot into DBAN?

You should have the option to delete/create partitions from within the Win7 installer. Did you try deleting all partitions from the installer, then create a new partition?
