First off, great choice of monitor.

With your rig, Getting the GTX 970 would make the 144Hz monitor very worthwhile.

With this monitor get Gigabyte GTX970 G1 a good GPU for 970 series.

I would prefer EVGA over Gigabyte.

ONLY the ACX 2.0 cooled variants, not 1.0.

While EVGA is normally a great brand for video cards, EVGAs 970s have too many issues. The fans can get too load and they failure issues. The cooler itself also has issues, only 2 of the 3 heatpipes actually touch the gpu so it runs hotter than the 970s from Asus, Msi and Gigabyte. There has also been reports of coil whine from the Evga's. The Gigabyte has one of the best coolers available and is an overclocking beast and is an easy choice over the Evga.

EVGA ACX 2.0 is much better, and the problems existent with your post are almost gone. Asus has had some pretty bad coil whines with their card. I concur with the support of the Gigabyte, the best of the lot.

Now u may understand why I am recommemding 'Gigabyte GTX 970 G1' the gigabyte 970 G1 series is performance wise is better than other 970 and also a cheaper opt. to choose.
don't get confused with other gigabyte 970 G1 is other card.

Are you referring to the windforce and G1 Gaming? There not both called G1, windforce is called Windforce OC.
